Altar Guild
Know what a piscina is? How about aumbrey, corporal, or ciborium? Special words from Greek or Latin designate many of the sacred objects used in eucharistic worship, and it’s the reverent service of the Altar Guild to handle, set up, and take care of these things. For those who love the Eucharist, and who delight in working behind the scenes at the altar—sacristans, they’re also called—this is a ministry for you, and there’s always room for more to share the work. Flower Ministry Guild
You can’t miss the gorgeous arrangements of flowers that appear near our altar throughout the church calendar (except for during Lent). No, we don’t order from florists! Good Shepherd’s flower guild members select and arrange flowers weekly, and work with the church seasons to glorify the Lord with natural beauty at the altar. Training is available, too!
