Discipled for Community

“For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.”

Romans 12:4-5

You were never meant to go it alone. You were meant for community, and community takes all kinds. Our differences make us stronger, and we thrive when we push one another in our identity as image-bearers of God.

We would love to walk with you as you prayerfully consider this next step in your faith journey! Becoming a member isn’t difficult. All we need to do is contact your former church, if you have one, and have them transfer your membership here. Membership classes are offered throughout the year for those interested in joining us. In them, you’ll learn just what it means to be an Episcopalian Christian, its history and structure, and the values and ministry opportunities at Good Shepherd.

"There is a place for each member of our family to be involved at Good Shepherd —right down to our preschooler—and that makes all the difference. Finding a community that cares about each of us as individuals and as a whole has strengthened our parenting, family dynamics, and our faith."

Ashley Bright, Go 4 GraceWorks Teammate and Summer Church Volunteer

"Despite only being members for a year, my wife and I have already become close friends with several members. I also value the introduction to the Episcopal tradition that we went through with Mother Natalie and Father Fred prior to being received in the Church. I have learned so much and feel enriched in my faith as a result of calling Good Shepherd my spiritual home."

Jason Felda, Acolyte, Usher, ‘24-’26 Vestry Member, and Fuel Bags Volunteer

"I wasn’t really sure why we needed a staff person to do pastoral care. I mean, who needed it, right? And then my father died and my family was a mess. Having clergy who were able to take the time to listen and talk made all the difference in a hard place. I am so grateful and appreciative of the care I received."

Marcy Mickiewicz, '20-'22 Vestry Member and Soul Care Volunteer
